MCCC is offering this non-credit Algebra Boot Camp for students and/or community members who desire to review, re-learn or enhance their algebra skills. Parents with children taking algebra are encouraged to attend as well. Even if you have never learned algebra, this could be your opportunity to for the first time! topics covered in this boot camp will include solving and graphing linear equations, working with systems of equations, factoring techniques, working all operations with polynomials, factoring and solving quadratic equations, and the most fun of all - rational expressions (fractions with variables!). Each topic will be enhanced with real world applications and activities, when possible. We can help lessen your anxiety about algebra and build confidence in your abilities.
The last week of the camp will be dedicated to review and preparation to take or retake the Accuplacer test. A discussion of STEM programs and careers will also be included.
